Professional Biography


Robert Stewart is the founder and owner of Architected Network Solutions LLC, a managed IT services and cybersecurity company built around a straightforward belief: technology should make businesses stronger, and an IT partner should put people first.


With more than 25 years of experience in information technology, networking, cybersecurity, and technology leadership, Robert has designed, secured, and supported complex enterprise networks, hybrid cloud environments, and multi-location organizations. His career has included senior roles in cybersecurity architecture, professional services, security engineering, technical operations, and IT leadership.


Robert’s technical background includes enterprise firewall strategy, Zero Trust network segmentation, Microsoft 365, identity security, secure remote access, security monitoring, cloud connectivity, network architecture, and disaster resilience. He has extensive experience with Fortinet Security Fabric technologies—including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer—as well as Microsoft, Cisco, Extreme Networks, and other enterprise platforms.


Throughout his career, Robert has focused on translating complex technology into practical business results. He has developed scalable security and monitoring frameworks for managed-service environments, designed resilient network architectures, guided Microsoft 365 initiatives, and helped organizations improve visibility, reliability, and security. In prior leadership work, he completed major projects months ahead of schedule and significantly under budget, improved employee productivity through training and mentorship, and helped an organization complete a SOC audit with zero findings.


Robert founded Architected Network Solutions to create the kind of IT company he believes clients and employees deserve. For clients, that means listening first, communicating clearly, recommending solutions that fit the business, and treating every organization’s technology as if it were his own. For employees, it means creating a family-oriented culture where people are respected, encouraged, educated, and given room to expand their knowledge and build meaningful careers.


Under Robert’s leadership, Architected Network Solutions provides managed IT services, cybersecurity, Fortinet next-generation firewall and networking solutions, cloud backup, help desk support, Hardware as a Service, and Microsoft Teams Voice solutions with Altigen. The company supports small and midsize organizations across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Why I Created Architected Network Solutions


After more than 25 years in technology and cybersecurity, I wanted to build a company that reflects the values I believe matter most: integrity, service, education, and genuine care for people.


I created Architected Network Solutions to put the client first. That means taking the time to understand how each business operates, explaining technology in clear language, and recommending solutions that truly support the client’s needs. I do not want our customers to feel like account numbers. I want them to know they have a trusted technology partner who is invested in their success.



I also wanted to create a place where employees are treated like family. Technology changes constantly, and no one should be expected to grow without support. My goal is to give our people the training, education, mentorship, and real-world experience they need to expand their knowledge and reach their potential.


When our people grow, they become more confident and capable. When they feel valued, they provide better service. That creates stronger relationships with our clients and a stronger company for everyone.
